Netherlands 1-0 Denmark

Netherlands started the game with quick passing and incisive runs that had the Danes on the back foot for the first 20 minutes. After an attacking move by the Dutch, Denmark started a counter attack that ended with Krohn-Dehli cutting pass three defenders and finishing through the legs of  Martin Stekelenburg to take the lead against the run of play.

The Dutch players heads dropped and other than an Arjen Robben shot from the top of the box that struck the base of the post, Netherlands didn't create any clear cut chances. The movement of players off the ball was static and the passing was not sharp enough for Dutch standards. All in all the Ducth were a shadow of themselves and the Danes were organised and disciplined.
